MSc Thesis: “My phone’s not working! Understanding smart phone security risks and risk-mitigation strategies”. The project explore the potential for security risks in Android and iOS platforms. Those risks are increased as phones become increasingly programmable, for example the android behaves like a simple Linux computer. The project will examine the current state of the art in understanding and mitigating security flaws and work to find any gaps and develop strategies that can enforce the security of smart phones. This has given me the opportunity to develop my interest and passion in the information security field.
Final Project: “Digital Image Watermarking for law Enforcement application”. Developed an academic software in collaboration with Prof Anthony TS Ho.This program authenticates images and detects if any image was maliciously tampered with. The developed program was tested against a variety of tampering attacks and a result analysis study was constructed. Moreover, the project gave me the opportunity to extend my programming skills on JAVA and Matlab.
